Running a business is a challenge. I know, I’ve been working in and on businesses for 30 odd years. With various roles, and including hundreds of days of consulting time. So I get it. Making all the relationships work so that you are on the same page is not easy.

What is Business Partner Coaching?

It can take various guises. I will focus on the relationship side of business partnerships. It doesn’t have to be a legal partnership, it is any business environment where you need to be working for the same goals, the same direction and for the betterment of the business.

More so, if you have other employees or dependencies it is even more imperative that this/these business relationships work effectively.

So business partner coaching is in essence facilitating the relationship between two or more professionals providing clarity on objectives/goals and the path to get there.

How does Business Partner Coaching work?

It starts with a conversation. Coaching 1-2-1 is a wonderful process of helping a person be a better version of themselves. In essence business partner coaching is potentially simpler than that! Really you ask?! Yes – maybe.

The process must start with a conversation – either with all parties together, or individually. As one size does NOT fit all, we will have an initial conversation following your reaching out, and decide what is the best way forwards. However what will be required is an initial period/series of conversations to understand what the challenge is and then a way of facilitating the ideal path forwards.

Keep in mind, one of the solutions may be that the parties are not aligned and the ideal solution is the cleanest break in the relationship that is possible. These will be your conclusions, not mine! As a coach my role is to facilitate the best outcome for all parties concerned.
